USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Exam)- is a series of examinations medical students and medical graduates have to take in order to join the US residency programs.
USMLE Step -1 Exam
Assesses the basic science knowledge of students. It is an 8-hour long exam which includes the following subjects

2- Physiology
3- Pathology
4- Biochemistry
5- Pharmacology
6- Microbiology
7- Immunology
8- Biostatistics & epidemiology
9- Ethics
USMLE Step - 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) exam
Assesses the clinical knowledge of students. It is a 9-hour long exam which examines the clinical knowledge of the following areas
1- Internal medicine
2- Surgery
3- Pediatrics
4- Gynecology & obstetrics
5- Psychiatry
OET (Occupational English Test)
Assesses student's English language skill specifically in medicine. Duration of the exam varies depending on whether the examinee chooses to take the exam on computer or paper based. The exam assesses the following areas:
1- Speaking
2- Reading
3- Listening
4- Writing
